Kill Two Drinks With One Cause
Young professionals everywhere know there’s nothing better than a solid YP event. The location is normally killer, the first couple of drinks are free, and it’s always easy to start a conversation with anyone to your right or left. (Name tags for the win!) The Young Professionals for Covenant House have been in this game since 1992, and they know how to throw a shindig that won’t be just a surface party, but a way to raise money for a worthy cause. All proceeds go directly to help the homeless, runaway, and at-risk youth of Covenant House Florida, and all good times go to you. This time around, these YPs are getting their market share. They’ll head to Bull Market, a new, interactive concept in food and drink where the prices go up and down all night depending upon the demand for the product. Finally, a math problem we can get behind! Admission includes two drinks and appetizers, but you probably won’t be able to resist watching the board for your next round. Maybe you don’t need to be told this, but take your business cards — not just so your new friends can add you on LinkedIn the next day, but also so you can enter the raffle for a chance at a $25 gift card. Young Professionals for Covenant House Bull Market Social takes place this Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bull Market, located at 210-A SW Second St. in Fort Lauderdale. Cost is $15 for Young Pros members, $20 for nonmembers. Visit youngpros.net, or call 954-568-7916.
