Whether you want to channel your inner artist this weekend or just get your kids out of the house, the Boca Museum has you covered. This family-friendly workshop is part of the museum's ARTFul Adventure Sundays. On the first Sunday of each month, an instructor hosts a themed workshop based on either one of the museum's permanent collections or a traveling exhibition. Guests make copycat creations inspired by the featured artist to take home. This month, Joyce Erato, art teacher for the county school district, will hold the workshop, open to all ages.
Depending on how crafty you are, you can re-create a paper mobile just like Dutch artist Fré Ilgen's this Sunday. He is famous for his industrial metal sculptures and floating ribbon-like mobiles, and his exhibit, "Just Another High," is currently featured in the museum.
ARTful Adventure Sundays is on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Boca Museum Auditorium, 501 Plaza Real in Boca Raton. The event is free, but admission to the museum costs $6 to $14. Call 561-392-2500, or visit bocamuseum.org.
