After you finish perusing for yourself and loved ones, stop over at the outside stage to watch the second-annual homemade musical Travulous and Friends Spread Cosmic Cheer. The story follows glam man/alien Travulous and his alien friends after they intercept bad vibes from a bored earthling named Rosa. Wanting to spread love and cheer, they give her… magic tea. Goodbye, bad vibes; hello, groovy vibes! Santa Claus and a red-haired greaser appear at some point, as well as DeJohn’s Peace Owl. From what we can tell, the musical seems to be the work of people who grew up on A Charlie Brown Christmas and Labyrinth. And who eventually, you know, drank the tea.
The magic starts at 7 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $10. The Bubble is located at 810 NE Fourth Ave. in Fort Lauderdale. Contact Travis Newbill at 954-494-6467.
