Now that hurricane season is supposedly over, it’s safe to start planning outdoor activities again. A nice, laidback place to start is the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts (701 Okeechobee Blvd., West Palm Beach), where its Movies By Moonlight series continues Saturday evening with a screening of Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. The $5 cost of admission gets you a bag of popcorn and a seat under the stars at the Gosman Amphitheatre. Not to be confused with 2005’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, this 1971 adaptation of Roald Dahl’s novel introduced us to Oompa-Loompas and taught us the life-saving importance of belching. Watching Gene Wilder’s portrayal of Willy Wonka serves as a reminder of the how we viewed the character before Johnny Depp’s frightening Michael Jackson-like interpretation. The movie starts at 7 p.m. Call 561-832-7469 or visit kravis.org.
Every other Saturday, 7 p.m., 2008
