Why don’t Jewish girls have the reputation as everyone’s favorite bad girls? Not enough plaid skirts? There’s no other justifiable explanation. Consider: Sarah Silverman, Natalie Portman, circa-1980 Goldie Hawn, and Dr. Ruth, who evangelizes the Jewish view of sex, that it’s intended for recreation as well as procreation. Add to the list ”Nice Jewish Girls Gone Bad.” It’s no two-state solution, but it is a helluva mashup: a live band, song, burlesque, go-go dancing, comedy — the whole vaudeville schtick. Where else can you combine a heavy dose of throat-clearing Yiddish patter with more dames than JDate?

After performers Dana Eagle and the Goddess Perlman schlepped their act from New York through such Jewish strongholds as Pittsburgh and Madison, Wisconsin, we imagine they’ll feel a tad more at home in South Florida. They’ll make their way to the Funky Buddha on Tuesday, but start your week off right at 8 p.m. Monday at Stage 84 (9118 W. State Road 84, Davie). It’s $20 at the door or $15 in advance via brownpapertickets.com. Call Stage 84 at 954-474-5040.
