A mentalist and psychic entertainer, Jons has produced a show that is part mind-boggling, part hilarious. The Psychic Cabaret in a highly interactive experience that sees Jons talking with audience members to pinpoint things about their lives in Long Island Medium fashion. Everyone has hoped they could read minds, and Jons says he has what it takes to make it happen for real. His show is an impressive feat, one that might make for the greatest date of all time. It’s a completely different twist on the dinner-and-a-show concept, one that will leave you looking like a rock star. And that might even be because you make it onstage. Dana krangel theater Planetary Alignment For all of the heteronormative hooey and gender stereotyping that the über-popular 1992 best-selling book Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus offers, we can distill one piece of wisdom out of this relationship guide that works for folks of all sexual orientations and genders: If you are nice to us (and we are attracted to you), we might want to have sex with you. What a concept! Of course, this bit of advice is delivered in the nausea-inducing chant “less nagging, more shagging,” but we digress. The New York Times bestseller by author John Gray is now a one-man show that combines theater and standup starring comedian Peter Story. In the performance at the Amaturo Theater at Broward Center for the Performing Arts through Saturday, Story takes pieces from his own marriage and lessons and advice from the book and delivers them in a fast-paced performance that is sure to beat sitting at home and flipping through the book on your own.
