For the first time in its five-year history, pub-crawl service (seriously, there is an industry that caters to this) Pubcrawls.com is launching one of its self-guided pub tours in Fort Lauderdale. Hard to believe it has taken this New York-based company this long to organize a boozy event in a city with such a propensity for debauchery. It is making up for lost time Saturday, however, on Saint Patrick's weekend, of all times. Pubcrawls.com intends on making history this Saturday and Sunday by throwing the largest St. Patty's day pub crawl of all time, organizing a 49-city joint pub crawl. Those partaking in Fort Lauderdale's licentious activities will join fellow green-garbed drinkers from coast to coast, including revelers in Seattle, Milwaukee, Kansas City, and even Hoboken, New Jersey. Registration begins Saturday from noon to 11 p.m. at Red Dog Cantina, located at 3134 NE Ninth St. in Fort Lauderdale. Tickets cost $5 for each day. Crawlers receive a map with participating bars (Briny Irish Pub, Capone's, Tap & Cork, and many more) and ridiculous drink specials like $1 domestic drafts, $3 well drinks, and $4 Irish whiskeys at each locale. Visit pubcrawls.com, or call 212-724-3900.
