The NBA has always been about marketing itself to the world, particularly in European and Asian markets. So what better way to showcase the NBA than by having the Miami Heat — led by Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, and Chris Bosh — play one of their teams and beating the shit out of them for all of Europe to see? As part of a preseason exhibition match, the Heat will host Russian powerhouse CSKA Moscow this Friday at the American Airlines Arena (601 Biscayne Blvd., Miami). CSKA has won two Euro championships and has made an appearance in the past eight Euroleague Final Fours.

This will be the third game CSKA plays against an NBA team so far this offseason. Which can only mean one thing: They’re out to take over the world. It’s also the first time the Heat hosts an international exhibition in its own digs. When LeBron announced that he was taking his talents to South Beach this summer, everyone outside of Miami hated him. Little did they know that he was saving their lives by teaming with his superfriends so that they could join forces and rid the world of them commies once and for all! Tip-off is at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $10. Visit nba.com/heat.
