It could be the ultimate B-movie, but, alas, “Revenge of the Tiki” is a giant outdoor bash going down at the Monterey Club. In all, four bands are playing: the Kings of Hell, the Freakin Hott, the punkish No Class Action, and the Cadillac Bombers, with western swing and rockabilly straight off the old frontier. The svelte girls of Cupcake Burlesque are performing too. And the Saints and Sinners Car Club is rolling out the kind of finned and gnarly classic rides that used to menace main streets with drag races. (The car club likes to say they “raise hell and take care of their own.”) Adding to the joyously exploitative ’50s feel, there’s a pinup contest for women and vendors of pinup clothes and antique car parts. And it wouldn’t be Tiki without the fire knife and hula show by Polynesian Proud Productions. Stay fueled with Southern BBQ, Mexican food, beer, and malt liquor.

“Revenge of the Tiki” at the Monterey Club (2608 S. Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale) happens Saturday. Doors open at 5 p.m. Tickets cost $10. Call 954-467-1169, or visit themontereyclub.net.
