In case you hadn’t noticed, Florida is surrounded by water. And with water comes some major seafood. To celebrate our state’s greatest attribute — and no, we’re not talking about all the displaced New Yorkers — the Isle Casino in Pompano Park is hosting the 29th annual Pompano Beach Seafood Festival.
The three-day fest includes plenty of live music, arts and crafts, food, drinks, and, of course, South Florida seafood. Headlining this year’s event will be 38 Special, Atlanta Rhythm Section, and Rick Derringer. The fun runs Friday from 5 to 10 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Admission costs $15; kids under 12 get in free. The festival is located on the beach just one block north of Atlantic Boulevard, at the Pompano Beach Pier, 222 N. Pompano Beach Blvd. Call 954-570-7785, or visit pompanobeachseafoodfestival.com.
