Don’t sweat on the street to shop famed Las Olas Boulevard. Step indoors for a fully air-conditioned shopping experience at the Riverside Hotel, the Fashion Show on Las Olas. Hosted by Women’s Innovation, the Riverside Ballroom is transformed into a shopper’s paradise high above the New River for an afternoon of retail therapy and charity. Twenty retailers are setting up shop for your perusal, so tell your husband to go golfing while you shop for clothing, jewelry, handbags, shoes, skin care, art, and other delectable surprises. A strolling fashion show will feature the work of five local artists throughout the event. The Palm Beach Makos Cheer Team will perk up your shopping efforts. The event is free to attend, but purchase raffle tickets and photo opportunities to benefit the charity of the day, A Child Is Missing Alert System. A Child Is Missing is a Fort Lauderdale-based nonprofit organization, created to locating missing children, the disabled, and elderly (often with Alzheimer’s) during the first hours of disappearance.
