How craptastic of a season has it been for your Florida Marlins? For starters, there was Roy Halladays perfect game against the Fish back in May. But apparently having the 20th perfect game in major-league history thrown against them wasnt disconcerting enough, so the organization decided to sell all unused game tickets as a souvenir for those who werent there to witness Halladays perfecto. Nothing like cashing in on your own teams epic failure. But wait! Theres more! There was also the time when a swarm of bees overtook the seats above the visiting bullpen, forcing officials to tape off section 102. Then the injury bug hit in the most absurd ways imaginable. Reigning NL Rookie of the Year Chris Coghlan tore a ligament in his left knee after hitting a teammate in the face with a pie while celebrating a walkoff win, and Ricky Nolasco tore a ligament his right knee while changing his shoes. And let us not forget the teams exposed-finances fiasco as well as the bullpens season-long mission to obliterate Josh Johnsons chances of winning the Cy Young. Yup, 2010 was one for the books. The snake-bitten Marlins host the St. Louis Cardinals at Sun Life Stadium (2269 Dan Marino Blvd., Miami Gardens) for some Monday-afternoon baseball. First pitch is at 3:10, and tickets start at $9.
