Every Fort Lauderdale chap whos into boardshorts, sandals, skateboards, Vans, wetsuits, surfboards, helmets, and/or Billabong, shops at BC Surf and Sport (1701 N. Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale). And now from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, BC wont only provide the goods during a giant clearance sale, theyll take your goods AKA those boards you havent touched in years, even accessories and sell those, too, at their first Board Swap event. A consignment sale goes like this: You hand over your item to BC, and, if it sells, BC gets a percentage and you get the rest either in check form or store credit. This is the time to take in that old skateboard, skimboard, or boogie board and start earning store credit toward purchasing your own stand-up paddleboard so you can guzzle beer on your own personal floating device during BCs next full-moon board session. In the lot outside, a barbecue will be set up, and companies such as Billabong, Quicksilver, and Volcom will be giving away free swag. No cover to peruse. Call 954-564-0202, or visit bcsurf.com.
