The Arts Garage in downtown Delray is presenting 13: The Musical. And no, it's not a frilly rendition of the movie Thirteen, which would make for a very depressing musical, not that people aren't into those (*cough* Les Mis *cough*). This 13 is the story of a kid whose parents' divorce has forced him to move from New York to a small town in Indiana. The play is full of threats and blackmail -- you know, regular school stuff. It's a comical coming-of-age story and is scored by Tony Award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown.
Performances are Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 2:30 p.m., and Sunday at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. The Arts Garage is located at 180 NE First St. in Delray Beach. General admission is $15 ($10 for students); reserved seating is $20, and premium seating is $25. Call 561-450-6357, or visit artsgarage.org.
Thu., Feb. 21, 7 p.m.; Sun., Feb. 24, 7 p.m., 2013
