:If you’re not sold on the idea of male belly dancers, that’s OK. But if you’re not charmed out of your senses by the belly-dance duo Desert Sin, you must be lacking a pulse. And for those who are titillated by exotic acts of tummy-tumbling, the annual Spirit of the Tribes event is back in town. Presented by Maja, the Girl from the Nile, the event is billed as the “largest tribal fusion belly-dance and drumming event on the East Coast.” With a multitude of performers from California to Japan (and 23 hours of dance workshops from Friday to Sunday), that description seems right-on. Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the War Memorial Auditorium (800 NE Eighth St., Fort Lauderdale). Tickets cost $15 to $18. Visit www.ticketmaster.com or www.majanile.com.
