The Angry Pursuit of Happiness
His dad was an abusive alcoholic, and his mom was committed to a mental institution. A divorce (which he filed for on 6/6/06) left him bitter and broke.
But now, Christopher Titus has a new wife, a new Comedy Central special, and a six-show stint at Fort Lauderdale Improv starting Thursday.
Best-known for his eponymous sitcom and four standup specials, Christopher Titus has turned the horrors of his upbringing and failed relationships into jokes about his "inner retard," his dad's DUI, and chuckle sluts.
His new, TV-friendly special premieres October 5 on Comedy Central. But you can catch him in the uncensored flesh with his new act, "The Angry Pursuit of Happiness." Rachel Bradley, AKA Bombshell Rae (that'd be his new wife), will open the show.
Christopher Titus kicks off six performances of "The Angry Pursuit of Happiness" Thursday at 8 p.m. at Fort Lauderdale Improv at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, 5700 Seminole Way in Hollywood. Tickets cost $20, with a two-drink minimum. Friday and Saturday's shows are for those 21 and older. Call 954-981-5653, or visit improvftl.com.
