The Brew Crew

Over the past year, Dialect introduced Brew Urban Café to a more nocturnal crowd, one that has come to favor the downtown Fort Lauderdale coffee shop for its selection of frothy microbrews and eclectic local art.

Celebrating its one-year anniversary Friday, Dialect will once again replenish the walls of Brew with the photographs, paintings, and mixed-media collages of South Florida’s rising artists. This month’s event will feature the works of Nino Liguori, Sarah Pierce, Cupcakes in the Lobby, Reed Smith, Matylda Mclvenny, Diego Rivera, Willie Morris, Illian Velasco, and Hox. And DJs Esoteric, Adam Foster, Utopia Syndrome, and Person of Interest will showcase the vinyl art. As always, there’s no cover, but you’ll want bring some spending money for a celebratory bottle of Stoudt’s American Pale. If you need a quick fix before you start the party, the fully caffeinated menu is also available all night. The birthday celebration begins at 8:30 p.m. and runs until 1 a.m. at Brew Urban Café, 209 SW Second Ave. in Fort Lauderdale.
