Do you think there is a kernel of truth to the claim that the Sixth Annual Sweet Corn Fiesta is going to be ear-resistible? Or is that just a corny statement? Organizers say that you can butter up the family by taking them out to the festival. Thats true; they will probably be a-maized by all of the stuff going on: samplings of different types of corn, for sure, but also kids games, music, rides, and of course, a corn-eating contest. Dont eat too much, though, or you might start to look husky! The festival is held in celebration of the growing season and the farm workers who make it happen. Last year, 10,000 people came to chow down. Admission costs $5 for adults, $3 for children ages 6 to 11, and is free for ages 5 and under. Call 561-793-0333, or visit www.southfloridafair.com.
