The Fish Get Busy
For all the ups and downs of the 2009 Florida Marlins season, there has been one constant. No, not the terrible relief pitching but, rather, the ability to beat the bejesus out of their NL East rival New York Mets at every given chance. The Marlins enter this weekend with a 10-5 record against New York and look to keep the Metropolitan-ass-kicking-fest going in this, the final homestand of the season at Land Shark Stadium (2269 Dan Marino Blvd., Miami Gardens). The Fish are going out with a bang for their last Super Saturday of the year, with postgame fireworks and a live performance featuring Jamaican hip hop artist Sean Paul. Hopefully, the temperature won't be too hot. Heh, heh. Tickets start at $12. First pitch is at 7:10 p.m. Call 1-877-MARLINS or visit florida.marlins.mlb.com.
