You think the WWE has drama? Those weekly grappling-soaps have nothing on Division 1 Pro Wrestling, South Florida’s very own league. For nearly two years, D1PW has been delivering the goods via mat and mouth, and tonight’s wrestling throwdown, Hollywood Havoc, will be no exception. With nearly a dozen bouts on the card, there promises to be more plotlines to follow than an episode of Laguna Beach, and plenty of knucklebusting to boot.

Here’s a refresher course: Veteran Heavyweight champion Billy Fives is engaging in a three-way bout with Bruce “The Marquee” Santee and Kenny King, who are both looking to kill Bill and take the title for themselves. Then there’s the Sheik versus Torcher, a match that’s been heavily anticipated since Sheik ironically gave Torcher a face full of flames, leaving the 400 lb. firebreather blinded. Bad blood is also brewing between Caribbean champion Tommy Vandal and his much despised brother Johnny, who betrayed his family when he teamed up with the devious Fabulous Frank.

There’s excitement, there’s intrigue, there’s dudes in spandex bitching each other out — what else could you want? It all goes down at Fred Lippman Multipurpose Center (2030 Polk St., Hollywood) at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $12. Visit www.d1pw.com, or call 954-554-7688.
