Jackie used to do and sell drugs but now is clean, working a legit job and looking to live the legit life. But his old lady Veronica is still a cokehead who may or may not be cheating on him. When he finds a hat in Veronica's apartment that doesn't belong to him, the new life of tranquility Jackie's carved out for himself suddenly hurls off the edge. Jackie gets himself a gun and asks his AA sponsor, Ralph, to help him. Problem is, Ralph may or may not be the dude Veronica is cheating on Jackie with. Filled with sex, foul language, moral ambiguity, and the most badass title a Broadway play has ever had, The Motherf**ker With a Hat, opening Saturday at GableStage at the Biltmore (1200 Anastasia Ave., Coral Gables) is a fast-paced, mordant dramedy that examines the evolution of two men at a crossroads while the lives around them head on a collision course.
