Tour de Home
For two hours this Saturday, play tourist in your own town by catching a ride on the narrated Delray Beach bus tours. The tour begins at the Museum of Lifestyle and Fashion History and travels through five historic districts in the area. Learn the stories behind converted homes from the 1920s, such as Sandoway House, which is now a nature center. Hear the stories of early South Floridian settlers who made the journey to Delray Beach from Europe, the Bahamas, and several other countries. The tours take place at 11 a.m. every fourth Saturday of the month. This one departs from Boynton Beach Mall (801 N. Congress Ave., Boynton Beach). Tickets cost $15 per person, and children under age 18 ride free of charge. Reservations are recommended. Call 561-243-2662, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
