He may not be as big a star as his former In Living Color castmates Jamie Foxx and Jim Carey, but Detroit native David Alan Grier is one of the most indefatigable funnymen on the scene, a comic cut-up who seems to be in a movie, TV show, or on stage every time there’s a punch line to be delivered. For a guy who may be best remembered as a flamboyant movie critic on a sketch comedy show, Grier has a surprising resume. He’s a graduate of the Yale School of Drama and has worked on both Tony and Oscar-nominated projects. Grier’s come a long way from “Funky Finger Productions.” Grier performs Friday through Sunday at the Improv Paradise Live (5700 Seminole Way, Hollywood). Tickets cost $23.32 to $26.50. Call 954-981-5653, or visit www.improvftl.com.
