Wanna Milk a Cow?
This year, there are 101 reasons for you to attend the 101st-annual South Florida Fair. Enjoy 18 days of fun with more than 200 rides and attractions, fair food including the world’s largest traveling candy store, ice-skating shows, and a variety of special events. Love livestock? Try your hand at milking a dairy cow, see fresh-hatched chicks, or pet a prize pig at the Kubota Agriplex animal barn. Or visit Yesteryear Village, a history park showcasing buildings and artifacts from the 1890s to 1945. This year, enjoy a politically themed exposition with a trip to Washington, D.C., a special attraction featuring 70,000 square feet dedicated to honoring past presidents with a display of authentic First Lady gowns, official presidential memorabilia, and a prominent 400-ton Lincoln Memorial sand sculpture. Don’t forget to bring canned and nonperishable food to donate to this year’s Dream Big Food Drive and be entered to win one of several prizes throughout the week. The 101st-annual South Florida Fair will take place Friday through February 3 at the South Florida Fairgrounds, located at 9067 Southern Blvd. in West Palm Beach. General admission is $15 for adults, $8 for children, and $9 for seniors. Tickets can be purchased online or at all Palm Beach County Publix, TD Bank, and Bud’s Chicken & Seafood locations.
