Its odd that Ron White was one of the original members of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, considering the persona he projects on stage: cigar in hand, swirling and swilling scotch, a block-jawed Texan with shiny white teeth and a dark suit coat. A born storyteller who projects oil tycoon, White has created albums with titles Drunk in Public and You Cant Fix Stupid that are as close to one-liners as he gets. He rambles. He brambles. He comes off as a prick, maybe, but the kind you want drinking at your table. His arrests include public intox and a 2008 bust for flying into Vero Beach with less than a gram of medical pot on his private jet, Tater Air. Street cred? Sure. Dick jokes? Check. Name-dropping Foxworthy? Yep. Black lapels or not, White has his blue collar on full display. Get your yuks at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts (201 201 SW Fifth Ave., Fort Lauderdale). Tickets cost $35 to $55. Visit browardcenter.org, or call 954-462-0222.
