Who Doesn’t Love a Man in Uniform?

Sure, there were some subplots along the way, like truth, justice, the American way, blah, blah, blah, but let’s face it: Comic books were always about sex. No matter who was doing the fighting, attacking, defending, or avenging, the superheroes were always hot. So is a “Super Heroes vs. Super Villains” fetish party really such a stretch?

Think massively muscled torsos in sinew-hugging spandex or voluptuous vixens in leather leggings. They don’t call them graphic novels for nothing. Why wouldn’t an alien come to Earth to defend the “America way”?

If you’re 18 or older, dust off that utility belt and perk up those, um, pecs and get your freak on starting at 9 p.m., like one of the X-Men, at Club X-It (219 N. 21st Ave., Hollywood) for this month’s Electrolust themed event. Tickets cost $10 in advance or $20 (or more) at the door. Visit superheroparty.eventbrite.com, email josepher.is.here@gmail.com, or call 954-822-6350 or 305-942-8267.
Sat., April 2, 9 p.m., 2011
