Sometimes theyre all doe-eyed and deadpan, like a cross between a drowsy Audrina Patridge and a 70s-era Blythe doll. Other times, the characters created by Lisa Perz (AKA Coma Girl) are perfectly mischievous with a sly I didnt do it air splayed across their face. Inspired by Cyndi Lauper and Lisa Frank from her childhood, these creations always boast bold colors. And one trademark for the girls is that they are always looking up, lost in thought hence the name Coma Girl. Known for her tag line doing cute since the 1990s, Coma Girl will bring out more of these wide-eyed beauties when her fourth solo show opens Saturday at Undergrounds Coffeehaus (2743 E. Oakland Park Blvd., Fort Lauderdale). Original works, prints, and jewelry created by Coma Girl will also be on display. Buy a $1 raffle ticket and you could walk away with your very own print. Doors open at 9 p.m. Call 954-630-1900.
