Certainly the last thing you expect from a coffee shop is meatballs. Unless, that is, you're drinking java at the Scandinavian Coffee House (231 SE First Ave., Boca Raton, 561-347-6420). Here, along with your joe, you can have meatballs for breakfast in the form of the Swedish sandwich (meatballs and fried egg on pan-fried whole wheat) or meatballs for lunch, served with egg noodles, cream sauce, and even lingonberries (for an additional 50 cents). Other Scandinavian specialties of the house include muesli, gravlax, and the Swedish burger, which is topped with a fried egg. Sip and snack next to the fireplace, and you'd swear that Boca Raton suddenly got a whole lot more Midnight Sun than it does the noonday variety.
