Dude, why weren't you at the recent AC/DC show at the BankAtlantic Center? Did you think they'd forget the classics? Sure, the band's touring to promote a new album (Black Ice), and yeah, they played some of the new songs. But dude, when they played "Back in Black" - well, let's just say it was your loss, man. Ah, but there is good news for you and other Back in Black die-hards. Classic Albums Live, the Toronto-based concert series that recreate classic rock albums "note for note," as they say, is having a three-night stay Thursday through Saturday at Paradise Live. OK, that's fine - but what the hell is a concert series? Well, it's not really a band; there are multiple projects involved, each dealing with a particular classic rock album, from the Rolling Stones' Sticky Fingers to the Beatles White Album, to name a few. And unlike the multitudes of tribute acts whose appeal relies heavily on gimmick (e.g., AC/DSHE, the all-female AC/DC tribute band), Classic Albums Live is all about the music, man.

Find Paradise Live in the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino at 1 Seminole Way in Hollywood. The show starts at 9 p.m. Tickets cost $20. Call 954-523-3309, or visit ticketmaster.com.
Jan. 1-4, 9 p.m., 2009
