The Center is a wealth of knowledge on everything from cooking your own organic baby food to making your shopping budget stretch farther to just learning how to relax with a little bit of QiGong. On Mondays, it hosts two classes that temper your love for food and lounging into constructive activities: First is the Lunch Club, a cooking demonstration that culminates in a tasty, healthful vegetarian meal alongside your contemporaries. The hour-long lunch break starts at noon, uses organic and local products, and costs just $10. Come back to the center at 5:30 p.m. for your next session, a Kundalini Yoga class by certified instructor Jessica Dickerson. The $10 class is just the cure your aching chakra needs, covering with postures, music, and meditation.
The Lifestyle Center is located next door to Whole Foods at 2000 N. Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale. Get more info at wholefoodsmarket.com/stores/fortlauderdale/lifestylecenter.php.
Mondays, 12 & 6:30 p.m. Starts: Jan. 12. Continues through May 31, 2009
