Good news! If getting strapped down and fed is your favorite fantasy, Dinner in the Sky Events has your hookup. Up to 22 daring diners sit in leather chairs and buckle up before their platform is hoisted by crane about 18 stories. Executive Chef Francois Ternes of Seminole Casino Coconut Creek’s Fresh Harvest restaurant and four other staffers will then feed said high-fliers a full, gourmet meal, featuring char-grilled, dry-aged Wagyu and other tasty treats. Issues with motion sickness? Just stay home; no innocent bystander wants to get hit with barf from 180 feet up. Oh, and you may want to do the other patrons a favor and strap on a pair of Grandma’s Depends; the whole rig has to be dropped back down to the ground for folks who have to go to the crapper. (Of course, it only takes about two minutes to get it up and down, something a Viagra-popping Hugh Hefner certainly couldn’t do.) Those with strong stomachs and an urge to chew in the clouds should be at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek (5550 NW 40th Street, Coconut Creek) for a 6:30 or 8 p.m. dinner. Tickets cost $500 per person and can be purchased from the casino cashier. Call 954-977-6700, or visit seminolecoconutcreekcasino.com.
