Before Saturday Night Live made political lampooning a national pastime and before Whose Line Is It Anyway? threw the script out the window, the live sketch comedy of the Second City improv troupe took form in 1959, at the height of the Cold War. And while the red scare is now just a bad memory, the Second City is still offering up the satire with revues like Iraqtile Dysfunction and In iPod We Trust. Check out Second City Thursday through Saturday at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts (801 Okeechobee Blvd., West Palm Beach, 561-833-8300) or Tuesday at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts (2855 Coral Springs Dr., Coral Springs, 954-344-5990).
