Were all familiar with the traditional haunted house experience: You go in, things jump at you, you scream, and finally you exit. Were not saying its not fun; were just saying its been done. But theres a South Florida way of doing most everything differently and scaring the crap out of people is no exception. At Snyder Parks first ever Halloween Festival, youll enter the interactive horror trail: Snyder Hollow Mass Mutation Experiment. For 30 minutes you will wend your way through the mutant results of a toxic spill caused, of course, by a tropical storm. Evacuate before you mutate or youll miss the Halloweenisphere costume contest and the Monster Ball main stage where more than a dozen bands will perform over eight nights. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the gate from 7 to 11 p.m. October 21 to 24 and 28 to 31. Snyder Park is located at 3299 SW Fourth Ave., Fort Lauderdale.
