Although stories of King Arthur and the Knights of the Roundtable have been told and retold for more than eight centuries, it wasn’t until the 1970s that shit-slinging Frenchmen and a killer bunny were woven into the tale. Those elements, which first appeared in Monty Python’s classic film Monty Python and the Holy Grail, remain part of the great Arthurian storytelling tradition today. At least, when the Pythons are the ones telling it. Spamalot, which comes to the Kravis Center (701 Okeechobee Blvd., West Palm Beach) for one night only, is the Tony Award-winning musical incarnation of the Pythons’ tale of Arthur and the Grail. In it, old friends like the Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog and the Black Knight provide obstacles for Arthur and his crew, and in doing so, provide hilarity for the rest of us. In fact, this may be your one opportunity to have your sides split by a man with a sword, and not lose any blood. The show begins at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $25 to $68.
