Street food has come a long way from the dirty-water hot dogs and greasy tacos you used to gobble down outside of clubs at 2 a.m. These days, gourmet food trucks rule the streets, rolling en masse to distribute custom-built grub to intrepid foodies. Now there are trucks specializing in everything from Asian sticky buns to bomb-ass, stoner-style grilled cheese sandwiches. And Wednesday, folks up in the PBC can get a taste of this legitimately cool trend when the Gourmet Truck Expo comes to town.

Today from 6 to 10:30 p.m., the 20-truck gathering will roll into the Boomers! in Boca Raton (3100 Airport Road).
