A fresh crop of drag queens and kings are hitting the scene in Wilton Manors in search of a throne. For ten weeks, they've been in drag boot camp, honing their struts (and tucks?) and primping under the intense tutelage of Twat LaRouge, a fierce, bald, Ursula-like figure, and Chocolatta, DeVon Scamp, and Rico Suave. Now the virgin gender-benders are "DRAGuating" at the Manor, the multilevel gay club. Say the trainers, "Grab your big-faced bills and your need for thrills, because we're going tit for tat, dahhhhliiinggg!" Imagine the suspense for these neophytes, debuting their opposite-gender alter egos before a gawking crowd. Will they choke? Will they shine? It's an episode of RuPaul's Drag Race, but live and local. ,p> "Drag It Out: An Epic Draguation" is Sunday at the Manor (2345 Wilton Drive, Wilton Manors). Doors open at 8 p.m. The show goes from 9 to 11 p.m. for those 18 and up. Tickets cost $10 for cross-dressers, $12 for the regularly dressed. Call 954-626-0082, or visit dragitout.org.
