It has been quite the year for John Ralston, who might be Lake Worth's coolest dad. In addition to expanding his family with a newborn daughter, he also brought his strongest solo album to date into the world during the past 12 months. The country-rock collection, Shadows of the Summertime, is a record that we all can comfortably grow older with — a smidge less audible angst than Ralston's earlier work but no shortage of heart. Adding to the feel-good nature of the Sunday-afternoon gig is the welcoming surroundings at Harold's, a delightful coffee spot in the northern reaches of West Palm. Plus, proceeds will benefit the Lord's Place, a local homeless charity. Cool, huh?
