“The Pitmen Painters” are a gaggle of British miners in 1930s England. These cats enroll in an art-appreciation course only to gain recognition from society’s upper echelon. Want a roller-coaster ride through personal expression and societal pressures to a world of ultimate personal triumph? It debuted in London several years ago to sold-out audiences. Post-London, it made it to Broadway, and, now, the famed play is coming to Palm Beach Dramaworks (201 Clematis St., West Palm Beach) on Friday and will run till March 11. Evening performances are Wednesday through Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 7 p.m. Matinee performances are Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets cost $55. Student tickets cost $10.
