Attention, parents: If you're tired of spending every Friday night locked up with those annoying, er, lovely children of yours then (a) Why on earth did you have kids? And (b) Listen up. Yes, there are upsides to having kids, like tax breaks and making them live out your failed dreams, but sometimes all you really want is one night of "quality time" with your significant other.
That's where the Fort Lauderdale Children's Theatre comes in. It's hosting a Parents' Night Out, whereby it takes in your runts and you get to get your romance on. Your children will have a blast with theater games, costume dress-up, crafts, movies, and food. This event takes place at 2542 E. Sunrise Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale, from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday. The cost is $25 for the first child, $40 for two siblings, and $15 for each additional sibling. Call 954-763-6882, or visit flct.org.
