Heavy metal isn't meant to float, but when organizers of "the ultimate rock music cruise vacation" tapped some of your older brother's favorite hard-rock bands for the ShipRocked festival-at-sea, that theory of buoyancy sank right to the bottom of Scienceville. Not only will it float but it's going to kick some serious ass. "There's going to be a lot of drunkenness," P.O.D.'s Sonny Sandoval recently told New Times. "I've been through all that." P.O.D. is just one of 17 groups hitting the high seas aboard the MSC Poesia for the fourth-annual installment of ShipRocked. The hard-rock crew will join coheadliners Godsmack, Korn, and Five Finger Death Punch on the four-night sail when it departs from Port Everglades on November 27. For Sandoval, it'll be his first cruise in a long time. "I went with my wife for our honeymoon 16 years ago, and we had a blast. You know, I hear the horror stories. They say, 'Those things sink.' But I ain't trippin' on it. A cruise is probably one of the best vacations I've ever been on."
