One of the main reasons for having kids is that you get to do all of the fun things kids do under the guise of spending quality time together. Take, for instance, the monthly Nights at the Museum, hosted at the South Florida Science Museum. This month's theme, "Holiday Magic Night," gives you (and your kid) a chance to dissect a stingray, look at "magical" crystals under a microscope, and space out in a holiday-themed planetarium show. Child-friendly crafty projects include snowball cakepops, pretzel wands, and snow making. Professor Clark the Science Shark and Macaroni Kid will make guest appearances. Nights at the Museum "Holiday Magic Night" is 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at the South Florida Science Museum, located at 4801 Dreher Trail N. in West Palm Beach. The cost is $11 for adults and $7 for kids (free to children 3 and younger). Museum members pay $5 for adults (free for children). Call 561-832-1988, or visit sfsm.org.
