Much as you try, you cannot avoid getting sucked into watching any episode of Seinfeld that crosses your path. Sure, the clothes are painfully dated, and there’s some lingering discomfort whenever Michael Richards slides across the screen, but it’s just so familiar, and yet somehow still funny, that it’s pointless to resist. Catch up with the titular funnyman behind that series this weekend when comedian Jerry Seinfeld performs standup for two nights at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Though Seinfeld could do nothing but spend money the rest of his life and be just fine, the man has stayed active, most recently launching an affable internet comedy series, “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee,” in which he hangs out with actors and comedians shooting the shit about everything from coping with family squabbles to diner etiquette.
Seinfeld performs at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Hard Rock Live, located at 1 Seminole Way in Hollywood. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $79 to $169. Call 954-797-5531, or visit hardrocklivehollywoodfl.com.
