Once upon a time in the not-too-distant past, craft fairs were the domain of grandmas and took place in church halls. But then the indie-craft-fair revolution happened, and instead of adorable grannies, rockabilly chicks with neck tattoos were making everything from crocheted coffee coozies covered in skulls to polymer octopus necklaces. Crafts are cool, and craft fairs are even cooler. Undergrounds Coffeehaus has been a den of iniquitous creativity for just shy of seven years, and that makes it the perfect spot for an indie holiday craft fair. The Pumpkin Pie Craft Show is from 3 to 9 p.m. Saturday. Vendors include Tastefully Simple, Kittie Nunez, Julie Kaviner, and Jennifer Marino Aramboles. Admission is free. Undergrounds will be selling its famous 40 flavors of tater tots, and there will be food trucks on-site.
Undergrounds Coffeehaus is located upstairs at 3020 N. Federal Highway, Unit 5a, in Fort Lauderdale. Call 954-630-1900, or follow on Facebook.
