The Florida Panthers hockey team is always looking to recruit new fans, and now you can be a part of the club. Ring in 2014 with a Florida Panthers home game versus the Nashville Predators at the BB&T Center in Sunrise on Saturday starting at 7 p.m. Watch goalie Scott Clemmensen stop a shot dead in its tracks or winger Sean Bergenheim execute a power play against opponents. Between the body checks, fistfights, and the penalty boxes, there is guaranteed action at every game. You know how the saying goes: "If you can't beat them in the alley, you can't beat them on the ice." One thing is for certain: Someone is going to get beat. Get your butt to a hockey game. The Panthers may not be the best in the league, but you can help them reach that goal during their first home game of the new year. Tickets range from $12 for upper-level seats to $284 ringside and can be purchased individually or in groups directly from the Panthers or the venue websites Ticketmaster or StubHub (fees may apply). The BB&T Center is located at 1 Panther Parkway in Sunrise. Call 954-835-7000, or visit panthers.nhl.com.
