Do you like beer? Do you like barbecue? Congratulations on being human! Also: There's an event coming up with your name on it.
It's the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino's Rock 'n' Roll Beer-B-Que, and it's landing on July 3. This pre-Fourth of July celebration will bring together all things smoked, grilled, and indelibly yummy with a wide array of beers and live music, all under the banner of open air, grub-as-you-are street festival. It's like a backyard Independence Day cookout with a thousand or so of your closest, sweatiest friends. Oh, and a national recording artist playing the gig, too.
Cooking for the event will be a host of local 'cue and meat-centric
restaurants, each stationed at booths in and around Seminole Paradise
proper. As of now, that list includes the likes of Whiskey Tango, Bru's
Room, Renegade BBQ, Red's Backwood BBQ, Miller's Ale House, and Fort
Lauderdale's own Bar-B-Q Jacks. Seminole Hard Rock is adding more
restaurants every day- you can check the full participating list here.
Plus, expect a contest that will hand out awards for best barbecue in a
handful of categories, from brisket to finger-licken' ribs.
Of course, good 'cue works up a powerful thirst, and there will be
plenty of beer options to quench it -- in unlimited quantities, no
less. A ticket in will get you free reign over brews like Kona Brewing
Company's Fire Rock Pale Ale and Shock Top Belgian White. Providing the
tunes to go with all that food and drink will be feel-good rock band
Seven Mary Three, they of Cumbersome fame.
The whole shebang takes place from 5 to 9 p.m. on July 3, and costs
just $35 in advance ($45 at the door, $75 for VIP). Oh, and since it's
the day before the Fourth and all, the party will culminate in a
fireworks display for the ages.
