Rockstar Bistro, which opened late last year, offers tapas and large plates with a rock-star twist. Owner Kyle Pintarelli and executive chef Nick Little provide a place to eat, drink, and hang. We caught up with bartender and catering manager Jeff Green.

Clean Plate Charlie:

What do you do over at Rockstar?

Jeff Green: I tend bar and pretty much run the front of the house, make sure everything runs right. Like tonight, we're having a wine dinner. This is our tenth or 12th wine dinner, and we're sold out with around 50 guests. These dinners are always great because with every course, everyone gets louder and has more fun.

How did you get into bartending?

Going to college. I got into the field while doing the college thing. After school, I went into real estate, and I didn't like sitting behind the desk, so I got back into bartending. I've been doing it for about 13 years. I love the whole aspect of it. Everyone's having fun after a few drinks.

What's the craziest thing that's happened while you were bartending?

One time, a gentleman came in, and he was sitting on the couches by the fireplace with his ex-wife. They were really into each other, so I was surprised when he came over to the bar and asked me to walk over and tell him he had a phone call -- to make an excuse to leave. So I went over and gave him the phone. I don't know what he told her, but they both left. He then makes a U-turn back into the parking lot, where he meets another woman. They start going at it on the same couch and eventually got a room at the hotel.

Another time, there was a wedding at the hotel with a four-hour open bar. The groomsmen bet the bridesmaids they wouldn't strip naked and swim in the hotel pool. They stripped, jumped in the pool, and didn't realize that all the guests were watching -- including one of their dads!

What's your favorite dish on the menu at Rockstar?

The game hen. It's stuffed with cheese and served with garlic mashed potatoes and green beans with bacon.

What's your drink?

I like Captain Morgan and craft beers, like Dogfish Head seasonals.

What's your favorite drink to make?

We have this drink called "The Alien" -- it's really refreshing, and people love it.

Rockstar Bistro's "The Alien"

2 oz Midori

1/2 oz triple sec

1 1/2 oz Malibu Coconut Rum

Pineapple juice

Sprite

Pour the Midori, triple sec, and Malibu into a tall glass filled with ice.

Fill glass with pineapple juice and splash of Sprite.

Garnish with pineapple wedge.
