There's something about a martini that we adore. Maybe it's the sophistication of the glass or the ritual of watching the bartender shake the cocktail and pour the ice-cold libation, possibly leaving the shaker at the bar with a few precious additional drops of the delicious libation we are about to enjoy.
So what makes a martini even better? When it's five bucks. Starting tomorrow, March 6, La Scaletta Ristorante in North Palm Beach is offering a weekly Martini Madness night, featuring a dozen different martinis priced at an attractive five dollars each, every Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
Besides the usual cast of characters like the dirty, cosmopolitan, sour appletini, and espresso martinis, La Scaletta is offering some unusual martinis like the lemon basil martini (Citron vodka with muddled basil leaves and fresh lemon), the Pacino (tequlia, Grand Marnier, triple sec, and sour mix), and the orange crystal tree (orange vodka, prosecco, and orange juice).
You're going to need a bite to go with your martini, so La Scaletta is offering half-priced appetizers during Martini Madness. Selections include octopus carpaccio, eggplant rolatini, caprese salad, and clams in white wine sauce. La Scaletta is open for lunch and dinner, daily.
