This six year-old authentic Mexican hideaway may be a hidden Broward County gem, but the treasure is worth the hunt.
With some of the most mouthwatering al pastor tacos north of the border, and quesadillas that are like fried pouches of meat instead of a folded flour tortilla filled with cheese, this joint oozes originality. It's Mexican Mexican food. Not American Mexican food.
Family owned and operated, the group is famous only by word of mouth. No website, no Twitter handle, no Facebook fan page, and not even an email for comments. The closest thing they get to electronic are credit card authorizations. Because their technology-lacking practices, the majority of the employees didn't even know the restaurant has been included in one of our annual "Best Of" accolades.
