Last week, we told you about the Brews and Blues series going down at Whole Foods Coral Springs. Now, just in time for for the Super Bowl, the third Beer-Offs are hitting the store February 6 at 6 p.m.

Just like previous incarnations of the event, the Beer-Offs will feature eight brews going head-to-head in a bracket-style tournament, with the winner being crowned king. The catch: You get to judge the beers yourself. That's right, sign up in advance by calling 954-753-8000 and you can be one of the 50 beer judges and let your voice be heard. And while Whole Foods always has a great selection of beers available for the event, this year's entrants are even better than the last: There's Magic Hat #9, Sea Dog Apricot Wheat, Stone IPA, Harpoon IPA, Smuttynose Robust Porter, Anchor Porter, Chimay Grande Reserve Ale, and St. Bernardus Abt 12. In addition to the suds, Nikki Pettineo, chef/owner of Bash Wine Cafe in Sunrise and personal chef to Miami Dolphins running back Ronnie Brown, will serve small bites to go with the drinking.

The event is free, and donations will be accepted for the Daily Bread Food Bank. Find Whole Foods at 810 University Drive in Coral Springs.
