Chef Pagano races over to Gulfstream Park.
Less than a year into what seemed to be his dream job, Ralph Pagano has left Gulfstream Park, where he served as vice president of hospitality and executive chef of both the racetrack's Ten Palms restaurant and all concession operations since October, 2011.
Last year, Pagano told Clean Plate Charlie "I only moved to South Florida for Gulfstream
Park," after admitting he was a racing fan, having frequented legendary Belmont Park while growing up in New York.
The
chef, who was formally trained at the Culinary Institute of America and
has worked in some of the country's best kitchens including New York's
The Sign of the Dove, The River Cafe, and south Florida's STK Miami, has
been named executive chef of seafood restaurant Alba at the Sole on the
Ocean resort in Sunny Isles Beach. The restaurant is in the middle of a
re-launch, with an October 2012 date set for diners to experience
Pagano's culinary skills.
Pagano has also inked a deal with Lifetime to host a new cooking
competition show, set to premiere on the female-centric station in
September 2012.
